You don't have to build every piece
Source smarter.
Build something better.
Compare what's already available before you design from scratch. Research global alternatives, order samples through suppliers, and document what needs to change.
Components, datasheets and availability.
Check dimensions, tolerances, interfaces and available stock.Open-source libraries, APIs and cloud services.
Check licences, privacy, compatibility, recurring cost and a fallback.Patent searches, product catalogues and research.
Understand what exists. A search is not an IP clearance.Independent research destinations, not endorsed or verified suppliers. InventSpring does not place orders or guarantee third-party products.
The idea-to-product framework
A process you can follow.
A product you can believe in.
A good idea needs more than a pitch. Work through ten practical stages, with guidance, evidence checks and room to rethink.
Progress is a loop. Learn something new? Go back, change the design, update the budget and test again. Your iteration log keeps the reasoning visible.
More rigour. Less guesswork.
A second pair of eyes.
At every stage.
The review process is designed to challenge vague claims, missing evidence and budgets that don't match the plan—and explain what to improve.
- Is the answer relevant to this specific project?
- Does the evidence support the claim?
- Do the requirements, costs and timeline agree?
- What's the next useful test or decision?
A review helps improve your plan. It does not certify safety, ownership, commercial success or readiness to manufacture.
“Our market is everyone who needs clean water.”
Who will buy the first 100 units?
Choose one customer group. Compare their current alternatives, price sensitivity and access to distribution. Then explain how you will reach them.
Illustrative feedback. Live AI feedback appears only after a successful review.
Hardware meets software. Ideas meet a market.
From a produce scale
to a connected business.
A concept like HarvestLink can combine existing equipment, computer vision and a software agent. Start with one crop, one buyer workflow and a supervised prototype.
- 01 / HARDWARE
Weigh the produce.
Connect a scale and record a traceable batch.
- 02 / COMPUTER VISION
Inspect visible quality.
Compare images with crop-specific human grading.
- 03 / SOFTWARE AGENT
Match buyer needs.
Prepare a lot description and a suggested buyer shortlist.
- 04 / HUMAN APPROVAL
Confirm the next step.
A person approves outreach, price and any commitment.
Build a plan. Bring your community.
Free to start.
A shared incentive to grow.
Prepare your project for free. Our proposed funding model is a 5% platform fee on donations collected, with payment and payout costs disclosed separately.
Support a milestone. Many people can donate to one project. Donations would not buy shares, royalties, repayment or a product. Funding and payout terms must be confirmed before campaigns open.
Processing, payout, currency, tax and other applicable costs are additional. Proposed pricing; not a payout quote.
A few things, clearly.
Before you
start building.
Can I start without a prototype?+
Yes. Start with a specific problem. The framework helps you research demand, compare existing solutions, describe a concept and plan a first prototype. A prototype funding brief should state what remains untested. Production readiness needs additional evidence.
Is software welcome?+
Yes: physical products, software and connected devices. Choose a project type in the workspace. Requirements, sourcing, costs, testing and launch planning should reflect what you are building.
Does the AI approve my invention?+
No. It can review relevance, completeness and consistency when connected. It cannot verify supplier claims, safety, patentability or market demand. A clear plan still needs real research, testing and human review.
Can I raise money on the site today?+
Not yet. You can develop your project, submit a PDF proposal for private review and explore the payment design preview. Supported countries, payment arrangements and funding/refund terms must be confirmed before contributions open.
Is my draft public?+
No. This preview keeps a temporary draft in this browser. You can export it or clear it. An AI review, when available and explicitly requested, sends your written project context to the review provider. Submitting a proposal sends your PDF, contact details and workspace answers to the private admin inbox. It does not publish your campaign. Keep sensitive or patent-critical material out of the draft.
Do I need to invent everything from scratch?+
No. Existing components, libraries and services may be the best starting point. Explain your original contribution, check compatibility and permission to reuse, get samples or trials, and test the combined system. Respect patents, designs and software licences.
